University of Technology Plants 50 Saplings under Dainik Bhaskar’s 7.5 Million Tree Plantation Campaign

As part of Dainik Bhaskar’s “7.5 Million Tree Plantation Campaign,” the University of Technology organized a large-scale tree plantation drive on July 13, 2026, during which 50 saplings were planted across the university campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from senior university officials, deans, NSS volunteers, and students from various departments.
The programme was led by the President of the University, Dr. Rashmi Jain, who emphasized that environmental conservation is one of the greatest needs of the present time. She stated that every citizen has a responsibility not only to plant more trees but also to ensure their proper care and maintenance for a greener and healthier future.
On the occasion, Pro-President Dr. Ankit Gandhi remarked that tree plantation is not merely a campaign but a commitment to providing future generations with a clean, green, and sustainable environment.
The plantation drive was also attended by Registrar Dr. Anoop Sharma, Controller of Examinations Dr. Kamal Kishore Jangid, Dean (Research) Dr. Rohit Saraswat, and Dean, Faculty of Law, Dr. Monica Sharma, who actively participated in planting saplings and encouraged students to remain committed to environmental conservation.
The programme was successfully coordinated under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Yash Yadav. Surendra Choudhary and Dinesh Choudhary extended valuable support in organizing the event. Students from various departments and NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive, demonstrating their commitment to protecting the environment.
At the conclusion of the programme, all dignitaries, faculty members, staff, and students pledged to protect and nurture the newly planted saplings through regular care and maintenance. The University of Technology reaffirmed its commitment to actively participating in environmental conservation initiatives and public awareness campaigns that promote sustainable and green development in the future.
