Voter Awareness Rally Reaches Tutoli Village, Spreading Awareness Among Rural Residents
The University of Technology, Jaipur, through its Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, National Service Scheme (NSS Unit), and Electoral Literacy Club 2.0, launched a Five-Day Voter Awareness Rally on October 26, 2026. On the fifth and final day, the rally reached its adopted village, Tutoli, where rural residents were sensitized about the importance of voting, voter rights, ethical voting practices, and active participation in the democratic process. Approximately 30 students enthusiastically participated in this initiative.
The primary objective of the campaign was to enhance voter awareness among the rural community and encourage citizens to exercise their voting rights freely, fairly, and responsibly. Through inspiring messages such as “Your Vote Matters” and “Wake Up, Understand, Vote, and Build a Better Future,” the students highlighted the importance of every individual’s right to vote.
During the rally, students emphasized that voting is not only a fundamental democratic right but also an important responsibility in shaping the future of the nation. The strength of democracy depends on the active participation of every aware and responsible citizen. Under the guidance of faculty members, students interacted with the residents of Tutoli village and educated them about the significance of voting and participation in the democratic process.
As part of the programme, Coordinator Mr. Ved Prakash administered the Voter Awareness Pledge to both villagers and students. Through this pledge, participants were encouraged to uphold responsible citizenship, remain conscious of their voting rights, and actively participate in the democratic process.
The initiative brought students and villagers together for a common social cause and aimed to spread awareness about the importance of voting at the grassroots level. The participation of approximately 30 students reflected their commitment to social responsibility. The activity also helped develop leadership qualities, communication skills, teamwork, a spirit of community service, and awareness of civic duties among students.
The programme organized in the rural community was a meaningful initiative towards connecting education with society and providing students with practical learning experiences. This initiative by the University marks an important step towards creating voter awareness in rural areas while fostering democratic values, social sensitivity, and a sense of responsibility towards nation-building among students.
