On the first day, the rally visited the university’s adopted village, Simliyawas, where villagers were sensitized to the importance of voting, voter rights, ethical voting practices, and active participation in the democratic process. Approximately 30 students enthusiastically participated in the initiative.

The primary objective of the campaign is to enhance voter awareness in rural communities and encourage citizens to exercise their voting rights freely, fairly, and responsibly. Through inspiring messages such as “Your Vote Matters” and “Wake Up, Understand, Vote, and Build a Better Future,” the students highlighted the importance of exercising one’s franchise. They emphasized that voting is not only a fundamental democratic right but also a significant civic responsibility that contributes to shaping the nation’s future. A strong democracy depends on the active and informed participation of its citizens.

The University’s Pro-Chairperson, Dr. Anshu Surana, emphasized the social responsibility of educational institutions and the importance of nurturing aware and responsible citizens among students. He described such initiatives as effective means of promoting social transformation, responsible citizenship, and democratic values.
