University of Technology Hosts International Conference on Digital Humanitarianism

The University of Technology, Vatika, recently organized an international conference titled “Digital Humanitarianism: Exploring the Role of Technology in the Social Justice Movement” emphasizing the power of digital tools in promoting social equity and justice. This event attracted over 300 participants, including notable experts and scholars, who joined both online and in-person. 

The Chief Guest for the conference Prof. (Dr.) Madhureshwar Parikh, Former Dean, Education, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, underscored the importance of this topic in today’s socio-political climate, stressing that technology can serve as a powerful means to advocate for justice and equity.

The conference featured Guests of Honour Prof. (Dr.) Parshuram Dhaked, Dean Academic & Director School of Education, Sabarmati University, Ahmedabad, and Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Sidana, Dean (Dept. of Education), Apex University, Jaipur, who discussed the critical role of technology in enabling social transformation. 

Other esteemed Keynote speakers, included Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Pandia, Former Registrar, IASE Deemed to be University, Sardarshahar, Churu and Dr. Valentina R. Onisor, MD Family Physician, Director QAV/ CQA. All these dignitaries advocated for digital innovations as a means to empower marginalized communities and address systemic social issues.

This conference reflects the University of Technology’s commitment to fostering meaningful discussions around global challenges and promoting awareness about the transformative potential of technology in social movements. The event also showcased the university’s active role in addressing pressing societal issues through academic and technological platforms.
