Description

The Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, University of Technology, Jaipur is organizing a Two-Day Zonal Level Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) Programme in offline mode in the university campus.

The programme aims to enhance the professional competencies of special educators, rehabilitation professionals, and allied stakeholders by focusing on practical strategies and evidence-based approaches for teaching functional academic skills to Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Functional academics are critical for promoting independence, daily living skills, social participation, and lifelong learning among learners with diverse disabilities.

The CRE Programme will include expert lectures, interactive sessions, case-based discussions, and hands-on pedagogical strategies to bridge the gap between theory and classroom practice. The event is expected to benefit faculty members, rehabilitation practitioners, research scholars, and students by updating them on contemporary practices aligned with national policies and inclusive education frameworks.

CRE programmes constitute an essential component of professional development for rehabilitation professionals and are a significant parameter during RCI inspections for extension and continuation of academic programmes. One of the major evaluation criteria during inspections is the number and quality of CRE programmes organized by the institution. As per RCI norms and guidelines, the Council reserves the right to discontinue or withhold the continuation of courses if the prescribed CRE programmes are not conducted regularly by the organization. Hence, organizing CRE programmes is not only academically enriching but also a mandatory regulatory requirement for institutional compliance and quality assurance. The successful conduct of this programme will contribute significantly toward professional capacity building, institutional quality enhancement, and compliance with RCI norms.
