University of Technology empanelled as Centre of Excellence in Rajasthan by National Productivity Council

We are glad to inform all the students, staff members and management authorities that the University of Technology has been empanelled as Centre of Excellence in the state of Rajasthan by the National Productivity Council (NPC). As a result, the students studying in UOT will get an opportunity to receive quality consultancy and training services in a wide variety of fields such as Industrial Engineering, Agri-Business, Economic Services, Quality Management, HR Management, Energy Management, Information Technology, Technology Management, and Environment Management. Moreover, students will be provided training on behalf of the Tokyo based Asian Productivity Council and they will also be able to interact with experts from Tokyo. 

A national-level autonomous organization under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, NPC has been established to promote and enhance productivity culture in India. Further, it is also the constituent of an Inter-Governmental body Tokyo-based Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and the Government of India is a founder of this. NPC has empanelled UOT as Outreach Centre of Excellence on Industry 4.0 (OCoE: 14.0) under the umbrella of Centre of Excellence on IT for Industry 4.0 (CoE: 14) NPC, New Delhi. In the future, students will be benefitted from the various projects, workshops, and seminars that will be conducted at the university from time to time basis. 

In addition to this, being a Centre of Excellence, we will work to fulfill objectives such as:

• To create awareness and develop the knowledge base of students on 14.0 technology
• To show the various connected industries using 14.0 Technologies
• To disseminate the knowledge to different stakeholders

All this will help the students and pave their way for a successful career. This is because all the initiatives that will be taken as Centre of Excellence will aim at enhancing the productivity of the students so that they can be employed by employers on higher remuneration. Moreover, the generation and application of advanced productivity tools and techniques help in value addition and boost the skills of the students for better and long term productivity.
