On 12th December 2019, the University of Technology added another feather to their cap when they signed the MOU with Blue Hadal (premier aviation training institute) for aviation-related courses. The MOU was signed in the seminar that was organized for the students to make them aware and explain the career opportunities in the field of the aviation industry. It was a memorable day in the history of the University of Technology and a large number of students and faculty members witnessed this event. Blue Hadal is known to introduce the successful model of academic and industrial collaboration for aviation-related courses. The MOU will benefit the students as the course will generate skilled and trained professionals to fulfill the human resource requirement in the airline sector both in India and abroad.

Based on the 25 years of experience in the pilot training field, Mr. Anand Mishra (Chairman, Blue Hadal) explained about the career opportunities in this sector and motivated them to be a part of one of the highly rewarding careers. In earlier times, there was not much awareness about aviation-related courses but this is one of the courses where the students get both technical knowledge as well as the practical exposure by training under the industry experts. As per the MOU signed, UOT will offer 3 Years Aviation course to the students which are as follows: B.B.A. in Aviation Hospitality and Tourism and B.Sc. in Aviation. In addition to this, as per UGC norms, the course can be pursued by the experienced pilots along with freshers or 12th pass out students who want to build a career in this particular field.

The MOU will have great implications in the present times as Mr. Anand Mishra told that nearly 1 lakh job opportunities will be created in the near future. Thus, the students who enroll in these courses will be benefited as they will get a chance to be trained by experts in the Philippines. For example, around 200 hrs.of commercial pilot training will be provided to the students who have enrolled for the course. Although the aviation sector offers bright career prospects, a lot more depends on the quality of the Institute from which the course is pursued. UOT has been recognized by the various authorities for such courses. Dr. Anshu Surana Sir on this occasion motivated students and said that in the growing competition and reducing employment options, the aviation sector can bring numerous job opportunities to students and they should explore every option for a successful future.
