The Diploma in Animal Husbandry focusses on concerns related to animals that are raised for milk, fibre, milk, eggs and other products. It includes day-to-day care, selective breeding and the raising of livestock. A large number of farmers in India depend on animal husbandry for their livelihood. In addition to supplying milk, meat, eggs, wool, their castings (dung) and hides, animals, mainly bullocks, are the major source of power for both farmers and drayers. Thus, animal husbandry plays an important role in the Indian rural as well as urban economy.
Course Duration being 2 years, it is changing the game of Modern animal husbandry and their Production Systems, Subsistence farming, High Density feedlots etc. It keeps the driving force of food sustenance – Fauna, and ensures that their 40% of agricultural output to the economy is healthy and scientifically fruit bearing.
